One Year Anniversary + 1

This has been just one month over my first year of running this site. I'm so glad you all have been around for it. I'm still alive. We are still at war. No end in site. Capitalism just keeps on plowing us towards the wall. But that's cool, I'm am in the game. I hope for alot next year.

Maybe Barrack will come into the game. Maybe we will get cool with the Middle East, but I doubt it. But I really pray for it! If we all talked out issues until we couldn't talk them thru anymore (+ drinks if it came to it) and no end is reachable, then we should do it like we are. I say "we" because we are stuck behind our prez as Americans. I am proud of being an American. The most free land of all, even though we are messing with the world bigtime. To be American is tough. We are technologically kickin ass (thank you Bill Gates and Steve Jobs). We are hipper than shit!

But Science is on a decline as far as people studying it. Science runs my life, even as an artist. I have a degree in Biology. I love it. But I can see why people wouldn't want to study it. A lot of math, chemistry, physics, anatomy etc.. and it's tough and boring. But to enact the scientific method on the world can make you famous. If you study life, you might figure it out. And you can figure out ALOT with it! I just hope more people become scientists next year.

But anyways, it's close to the New Year and I'm done rambling for tonight. I just want to thank you for listening. Our time is all we have, and I thank you for using yours on me. Cheers to 2007!!!!!!!!!

Intro 3

Hey y'all, 'sup? This is your friendly skeptical reviewer JJ. I see it as I see/hear it and I'll write exactly what I think of it. I will not hold any loyalty to any artist. I will judge each of their works as a stand-alone item. I will relate any connections I can in helping to describe the media to you. I will review whatever I see as I see it. If you have similar tastes, then I will hook you up with some info. Enjoy.

Act 3: Love of my Life

Welcome fans of music! This is my first posting as a musician and writer who is addicted to music. It has been my total #1 love ever since I was a child. I have followed it as a crazed fan since high school and have also been playing it in my own projects for about 16 years. I played guitar in a emo/punk/metal/industrial band in high school. I played guitar in a hard psychedelic fusion band during college. I also played in a bar cover band in college for a bit (stones, zeppelin, dylan, who, petty, etc). After college I was in a hard rock band as a guitarist. After that I was the guitarist and scratch DJ in a hip hop and funk band. Then I was a scratch DJ in a hip hop fusion type band. I started DJ'n and working on my own music when that last band broke up. I currently DJ and work on my own electronic music projects. Check me out on Friday's at the Black Beetle in Chicago! I will give you all the information I feel will be helpful to fans of music that we share the same interests for. Thanx for checking me out, I will not sway you wrong. Please feel free to reply to my criticism too. Peace!

Welcome to A Few Zen.......Take a Deep Breath and Relax.......

This is my site to talk to you about everything I love. Music. Philosophy. Food. Movies. Books. Any type of art medium really. I am an artist to the core. In whatever life throws my way. Bring it on! Here's how it goes.....whatever I hear/purchase/see in the course of my day/life, I will post my honest feelings about. Good or bad. But I do tend to buy/listen/look at things I know I like. I definitely have tastes I developed over the years, but I am still experimental in that I need to try something in order to understand and either like or dislike it. Scientific Method. By day I am a food scientist. That's kind of like a chef who knows the chemistry behind cooking. Since I love food, I have cooked for a long time just to have what I like tasting. A lifelong passion. I have been playing music as both a DJ and guitarist for about 16 years. My main life Passion. Food just also happens to be required to live, so I've met my demons in the middle. I have a degree in Biology because I love nature, technology, the human body, space, and science. I have a degree in Philosophy also (aptly called a BS). How else can I/We talk about life, love, and all of the unknown? And I love the unknown. I am also writing a science fiction novel about the future of our world and where cellular phones are going to lead us..... but with the rest of life breathing down my neck......I find myself with little time to get my idea out. And it's a real good one! So at that, I leave you to check out my site. Feel free to talk back to me and to one another. We'll throw some parties and tear it up!
