Thom Yorke "The Eraser"
It took me awhile to get to reviewing this. But appreciated. Another Nigel Godrich beauty (producer, mixer). This guy is one of the producer-extraordinares around. Beck, Paul McCartney, REM, U2, Pavement, Ride, Zero7, Radiohead, and Thom from Radiohead now. This album sounds wonderful. It's 90% electronic and the other 10% is at least effected. A laptop, sampler, guitar, piano, drums, bass, Thom, and Nigel. I think that's what it is. A very personal 1st solo album. A closely recorded sound. "the eraser", "black swan", "the clock", "skip divided", and "cymbal rush" are all good tracks. Completely electronic sounding.....if you were worried he would go that route. Don't buy it if you don't like radiohead melodies, Thom's singing, or blips and bleeps for music. If you do like that route, he put out a great one. 5 out of 5 stars for Thom's first.
rare acoustic clip. if you hear the album, nothing sounds like this with him on guitar:
