God

This idea has been in my mind for a long time but I had to get it out......the one God so many religions pray to....are the same God. I personally can rationalize a Supreme Being who had some intelligent design for everything. One. No more right now. As far as the other angels and minions spoken of, I don't know. But whatever all the religious stories tell (Buddha, Jesus, Moses, etc), they all talk about "the one" we do not understand. There can't all logically exist. We are all right in our views but we are all worshipping the same one "thing". I don't think any of us know the real true story of God on this planet but deep down we know and feel the thing that is behind it all. But it's that same thing for everyone no matter what book you think has all the truth. This said, we should not have all the religious skirmishes we have because it's all about being "good" and treating others with respect. We have wars over religion and politics and they have recently become THE issue in these wars the world is now taking upon itself. Muslims vs. Jews/Christians. The point of it all is that we live peacefully. Treat others like yourself even though it is hard. There is not enough negotiating for ways to all get along. We are like little kids around the world just calling other people "wrong" and not wanting to share anything. If we all just try a good life and encourage others to do so also, we may see opportunties that never seemed available with the new cooperation. People, just think about what you truly don't know about God, and figure out that everyone worshipping God has the same hopes and fears. Religion should help create a better world rather than create war. One Love.

The Amen Break

This 6 second loop is quite amazing as far as what it's done for the music world. The so called "Amen Break" is a sample that has been used so many times you can't even reckognize it anymore. This video shows how it has been twisted to create some phenomenal music. You will see the history of alot of music go by as you watch this. It is worth the time if you like grooves and music to dance to. Enjoy.

Sufjan Stevens

I noticed that Sufjan was getting great reviews from tough people last year. Never thought much of it. But I just recently saw he had a good new album. So I thought, why not check out "Illinoise" and see what last year's "good" album was about. Yo, it is the greatest thing I have heard in about 5 years. Everything I really want to hear. Seriously. It is a concept album about the state of Illinois in the USA. And the test to me at this point for Sufjan is to see if he always sounds like this. This album is everything I want to hear as a person who has lived his whole life in Illinois. This album speaks to me. I am not sure how much homework he did for my state, but he nailed it. I hear CSNY, Curtis Mayfield, George Winston, the Grateful Dead, Miles, and Radiohead tied in in such a cool way, I just think this young dude is THE SHIT! This " Illinoise" concept album is 24 badass songs long! Nobody but a hip hop artist in today's times has done something like this. There are tons of interludes but they are the best modern classical music I have ever heard. Buy Ilinoise! Sufjan plays alot of the instruments on this. He is trained in the oboe, english horn, drums, banjo, guitar, and piano. I just picked up the new album "The Avalanche" which is outtakes from the "Illinoise" album. How could that be bad. Stuff he didn't include on his 24 song previous album. Badass outtakes. What was he thinking? I really enjoy this guy. Check him out......

and this ain't him....but it's a badass live take of stevens that I don't have! .........

and this is just sick!!!!!
