The Flaming Lips
this band is on the cutting edge of everything. the most outstanding musicianship and production i have heard in the past 5 years. wayne is a genious and a virtuoso. check out their film "the fearless freaks" for just a glimpse! their album "yoshimi battles the pink robots" is one of my top 10 albums. it shows IT all off! they have evolved by each album and are now perfect. beautifully written electronic landscapes and lyrics. i thought i could never get past wayne's nasally voice, but dammmit....he's a badass songwriter. they can all play their asses off but use it minimally to kick all our asses when we think they are being mellow. check em out. all of it. and live....wow. these guys r the most psychedelic band to see live, no contest. they r THE greatest band since Pink Floyd in this genre. they live to play live and you'll see if u go and have 2 or 3 Chimay's. 5 out of 5 thumbs as a band.
