Spinach Artichoke Dip

I received this recipe from my chef buddy becuz i wanted to try one. it is about a 2 out of 5 in difficulty. about a 4 out of 5 in taste.

melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a tall brimmed pot/pan. add 2 big cloves of diced garlic. cook on medium-low heat for about 3 minutes until garlic softens. add 1 can of artichokes (that u chop relatively fine). continue to cook until artichoke softens (3 minutes). add a half a bag of store bought spinach (by the pre-cut salad bags). continue to heat and stir until spinach wilts and mix is uniform (4 minutes). reduce heat to low. add enough milk to just have a slightly wet look stirring as u add the milk so it will not curdle. add about 1 cup of shredded parmesan cheese. stir until cheese melts and mix slightly reduces. remove from heat. cool for about 4 minutes then put into dip dish. mix will firm up becuz of the cheese, so de-pan before cool. makes 1 nice serving bowl worth. pretty rich and tasty. right away when you sweat the garlic, it smells great (use real garlic! not the jar type).
