Kid Koala "Live from the Short Attention Span Theater" DVD

kid koala is a virtuoso. i've seen him twice live, and he is one of the few DJ's u need to catch live to see his skills. i saw him in chicago dj'n off of three turntables the way mixmaster mike uses 2 (very intensely)! he is fast! he even mixed that old ass song blue moon into 7 nation army when i saw him live. his choice of samples to create his music from are as unique and eclectic as him. he mighta been the nerd in high school that was always practing music, but u can see he wasn't just goofin' around now. this live show has 3 songs from his last album and 2 cinematic pieces of his music for his graphic novel he made. he has fellow ninjatune dj p-love and dj jester assisting him with scratches. jester also earlier played the greatest 80's mix i have ever heard plus he mixed 50 cent with bluegrass music. fo shizzle. kid plays plays his songs on 6 turntables live and the DVD is great in letting us see that. NO ONE has wrote songs for 6 turntables yet in music history! the kid even plays keyboard on a few (his original training). check out this dvd. 5 out of 5 thumbs
