DJ Spooky & Dave Lombardo "Drums of Death"

in my opinion dj spooky is the most eclectic dj i have ever heard. he fuses every possibly sound from life and from the future into a musical hip hop/dub fusion. a sound that new york called illbient a few years ago. check out spooky's album "dubtometry" (5 out of 5 thumbs) for the full experience! as an expert sound digger, spooky drew together slayer's drummer dave lombardo, living colour/yohimbe brothers guitarist vernon reid, meat beat manifesto's bassist/producer jack dangers, and public enemy's chuck d for this new album. it is a mix of futuristic dub reggae, alien speed metal, massively effected guitar solos, and public enemy remixes. well recorded like most spooky records, this album is a delight for both metal and electronica fans. check out trax: metatron, b-side wins again, terra nullious, and obscure disorder. spooky also wrote a very very deep philosphy book recently "rhythm science". i have a philosophy degree and love the shit. i figured he was writing a history of music in common terms but he really wrote a ridiculously complicated analysis of the history of technology, society, and of the way our minds work with modern society and music. for me it was a great read, but i dont recommend it unless u r into reading serious philosophy like kant or leibnitz. this new album is 5 out of 5 thumbs
