Dirty Rulers
Here is my problem with American "democracy", they (the fat cats) pick who we vote for. We never are presented with the best and brightest, the most ethical and honest people. We are always given 3-4 goofballs to pick from who are far from "the best" candidate. Every year people trying to get me to vote always use the phrase "pick the least of 2 evils." I don't like picking the better of 2 dishonest dumb people. Maybe it's just me but I don't believe any politician is honest, or out to protect the poor or middle class (the people that need help the most). The best person to lead the country could be your next door neighbor, or your brother/sister BUT they will never be able to run for office unless they raise funds and cater to all of the interests of the groups that give them money (forcing them to be unethical/dishonest). Is it just me that feels the choice of Kerry and Bush are far from the wisest, most honest people our country has to offer? I know it is not so. As a democracy we need more candidates that the people pick.
